Hello friends, before coming to our 10 flavorful snack recipes, let s first know a little about snacks. A snack is a new and increasingly popular slang term used by teenagers that means someone or something looks good in that moment. It is a compliment. . A snack is a small service of food and generally eaten between meals. Snacks come in a variety of forms including packaged snack foods and other processed foods, as well as items made from fresh ingredients at home. Traditionally, snacks are prepared from ingredients commonly available at home without a great deal of preparation. Often cold cuts, fruits, leftovers, nuts, sandwiches, and sweets are used as snacks.

Snack foods are typically designed to be portable, quick, and satisfying. Beverages, such as coffee, are not generally considered snacks although they may be consumed along with or in lieu of snack foods. A snack eaten shortly before going to bed or during the night may be called a “bedtime snack“, “late night snack“, or “(mid)night snack“. In India snacks play an important significance in one’s life. Snacks are for celebration, sadness, joy or just for fun. We love munching snacks almost anytime of the day.

There are snacks that are designed for weight loss. Few of the most popular snacks that helps in loosing weight are : Mixed nuts, Red bell pepper with guacamole, Greek yogurt and mixed berries, Apple slices with peanut butter, Cottage cheese with flax seeds and cinnamon, Celery sticks with cream cheese and many more.

What is the difference between a meal and a snack?
