This Viral Chaat Board is your go-to solution for your Diwali cocktail & card parties. Ever imagined a simple Papdi Chaat can be served this funky way too! Well, if you’re still looking for a fun platter to be served to your guests…I got you covered.
Also sharing the recipe of my home made whole wheat baked papdi.
For Baked Papdi Combine all ingredients mentioned for Papdi and knead to make a stiff dough. Apply some oil/ghee on the rolling board and place a portion of dough. Roll out thin using a rolling pin. Cut into round shape using a cutter or a katori and pierce impressions using a fork. Place them all on a lined baking tray & bake in preheated oven for 15min at 180°.
For Chaat Board Take a wooden board of any shape. Add thick yogurt in the center and spread it evenly using a spoon. Now start adding the rest of the ingredients mentioned in ingredient box below for chaat one by one. (Boiled Potatoes, sprouts, Onion, tomatoes, sauces, spices etc). Place all the papdis around the chaat spread and serve.
As winter is here you can also make METHI MATHRI for your chaat board. An oval shaped crispy savory snack from Rajasthan, typically served with hot garlic and coriander chutney. Methi Mathri is your ideal travel partner and also save you from your midnight hunger panks. Though it’s a deep fried version but you can anyday try air frying or baking them to give a healthier twist. Methi Mathri is commonly shaped round or cut into diamond shape but in few parts of Rajasthan it typically shaped oval. Easy to store with a long shelf life, this Methi Mathri recipe is definitely a keeper.
