Weekend is all about having your favorite food…right? What if the food is even more fancier then before. Make your regular kebabs and wrap them in tortillas along with some yummy dips and salad…life is sorted! My family eats kebabs like there is no tomorrow… lol. So last night we had some super delicate Galouti Kebabs and today again for lunch I made these juicy mutton seekh kebab wraps with plenty of salad and dips to go with it. Indeed a ginormous wrap that was completely filling and now looking forward to what we’ll have for dinner … lol that’s me! 🙈
The recipe of kebab is the most simplest one you can ever find, best thing is you can use the recipe for making shammi kebabs as well. So next time if you have some left over kebab mix at home, you know what exactly to do with that. Check out the recipe below and do share your feedback with me on it.
To make this delicious and scrumptious stove stove mutton seekh kebab wraps all you have to do is soak chana dal for 1-2 hours. wash strain and keep aside. In a pressure cooker add mutton pieces with soaked chana dal, whole spices, ginger, garlic, some mint leaves and salt to taste and cook till 3-4 whistles. Once the pressure is released from the cooker, open the lid carefully and strain the mutton and dal. Collect the stock and you can use it later in making any non vegetarian curry. Let the mutton mix cool down completely. Once it’s cool, add the whole mix in a blender jar and grind to make a thick smooth mix. Collect the kebab mix in a bowl and then you can add some fine chopped chilies, onions, mint, coriander and make shammi kebabs too. But as we are making seekh hence we wont add any of the above. Take bamboo skewers and wrap the kebab mix all around the stick evenly. Heat a non stick plain or grill pan and grease it with some oil or butter of ghee. Place the prepared skewers on the pan and gently brush oil on top. Fry the kebabs evenly from all sides. Meanwhile take flour tortilla or regular wheat chapati and slightly roast on a tawa. Now take one prepared seekh kebab and carefully slide it off from the skewer. Place it on the center of the tortilla and add curd, mayonnaise, mint chutney, some onions, green chilies, chili flakes and lemon juice. You can also place a lettuce leaf in the bottom if you like. Now wrap or roll the tortilla carefully and serve hot.
