Palak Paratha – Spinach Flavour Indian Flat Bread

by Shaheen Ali

Palak Paratha or you may call it as Spinach flavoured Indian Flat Bread is made with three simple ingredients available in your pantry. A simple twist to your regular paratha gives you a healthy and a colourful breakfast option. The dough remains the same whether you make roti or paratha. It totally depends on one’s choice. A power packed breakfast with the goodness of Spinach also keeps you energetic.

As you can see I have served these yummy palak parathas in a stainless steel pot by NanoNine.

NanoNine , the innovative kitchenware company brings you this stainless steel ROTI SAVER which is an insulated chapati pot with a glass lid and a plastic coaster inside that gives you freedom from sogginess. The dome shape glass lid allows the condensed water to trickle down from the sides and slides below the coaster, without dropping on the rotis or parathas. That’s how it saves the top and bottom roti/parathas from getting soggy.
I am loving this product as it has really given me freedom from soggy chapatis. This serving pot can also be used as a serveware for your curries or rice. Pre condition the pot by filling in hot water for several minutes before using it. This helps retaining the heat inside the pot for hours giving you fresh and hot food whenever you want.
A big thumbs up for NanoNine Roti Saver. Go grab your pot soon. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I also received an insulated casserole from them known as HOT SERVE INSULATED SERVING POT that comes with a promise to keep your food hot and fresh upto 4 hours. This serving pot comes with an insulated lid, mirror finish inner stainless steel bowl and mirror finish outside stainless steel pot. The special puf coating inside the double wall keeps content warm for many hours.

For better results you can pre condition the Hot Serve Pot by filling with hot water for several minutes before using it. After cooking, instantly transfer the steamy hot food into the pot without any delay and close the lid. Your food will remain hot even after 4 hours….now isn’t that amazing!

Coming back to our recipe today…Palak Parathas are super easy to make and requires handful of basic ingredients from your pantry.  To make this nutritious breakfast all you need is Whole wheat flour, spinach puree, salt and oil. Collect all ingredients except oil in a large mixing bowl and knead with Luke warm water to make a soft dough. Roll out small portions of dough with a rolling pin to make rotis. You may now continue making rotis on tawa or add little oil and fry to make parathas. Serve hot with curd, pickles, chutneys or any curry of your choice.
