It’s basically a cold latte drink topped with a smooth velvety sweet coffee foam, somewhat like a reverse cappuccino. Usually served chilled but you can any day try out the hot version too. Can we use granulated coffee ? You can use both instant coffee powder or granulated coffee, as per your choice.
Can we use Castor Sugar ? No, always use granulated sugar, either white or brown.
Can we add sugar as per our taste ? Yes, You can adjust sugar less or more as per your liking. The only difference will be in the color. With more sugar the foam will be lighter in color and with less sugar the foam will appear dark in color.
Is this latte served chilled ? Not necessarily, you can also make hot latte using the same recipe.
How to Whisk ? You can whisk the coffee mix using a fork or a round whisk might take a longer time to make perfect foam as compared to hand mixer.
What is the correct ratio of ingredients ? The correct ratio for making the coffee foam is 2:2:2 (coffee + sugar + water)
How to make Dalgona Coffee :
In a mug add coffee powder, sugar and hot water. Beat them all using a fork or and electric hand mixer, until light, creamy foam with soft peaks appear. Add handful of ice cubes in each serving glass. Fill 2/3rd of the glass with milk. Spoon the foam and add it to the top of the cup. Sprinkle some cocoa powder as garnish. Mix it with a spoon to make a latte or just enjoy it with a little foam and milk all in one sip.
