Panna Cotta is an Italian dessert of sweetened cream thickened with gelatin and molded. The cream may be aromatized with coffee, vanilla, seasonal fruits or other flavorings. It’s basically a pudding that is made of cream/milk thickened with gelatin. It originated in Italy and its name literally means “cooked cream,” Having said that, today I’m sharing one of my most favorite panna cotta recipe that is quite home style and old fashioned too. COCONUT & ROSE PANNA COTTA is certainly a dessert to die for. Simple ingredients and easy recipe resulting into this deliciously creamy panna cotta.
COCONUT & ROSE PANNA COTTA is an easy dessert recipe that gets ready in less time and is enjoyed by kids a lot. Easy ingredients that is nowadays easily found in kitchen pantry. The flavor and aroma of coconut rose panna cotta is very refreshing, thus a great dessert recipe to served in your dinner parties and family gatherings too. To make this beautiful looking dessert first place Coconut milk, heavy cream, powdered sugar and gelatin in a thick bottomed heavy pan and bring into heat stirring continuously until everything dissolves and incorporate well. Break lumps if any. Add rose water just for fragrance, stir until the mix thickens. Turn off the heat and pour the mix into medium size ramekins or dessert bowls. Allow to cool in room temperature and then gently cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate to set. Chill for 2-3 hours. Garnish with fresh or dried rose petals and serve chilled. If you want to de-mold the panna cotta then grease the ramekins with coconut oil before pouring the mix into them. You can used freshly grated coconut or sliced coconut for garnish as well.

- 50 ml heavy cream
- 4 tbsp White Powdered Sugar
- 1 tbsp rose water
- 5 gms Gelatin
- Fresh or Dried Rose Petals for garnish
