  1. Soak khus khus in 1/2 cup water for 15-20 mins. Grind to make a fine paste and keep aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil and mustard oil together in a wok (You can use any of them either).
  3. Add kalongi and wait till crackles are heard.
  4. Now add sliced onions (optional) and green chilies. Saute for a while and add potatoes and fry.
  5. After a while add turmeric powder and mix well. Cook till potatoes start to soften.
  6. Add the khus khus paste and little water, stir and season with salt.
  7. Mix well and close the lid. Cook in low flame till khus khus thickens.
  8. Add finely chopped coriander and turn off the gas.
  9. Serve hot Aloo Posto with Rice and Masoor dal with a dash of lemon juice.
