Paneer Tikka is a very popular appetizer served in Restaurants, Hotels, Marriages, Kitty Parties etc. Succulent Paneer cubes marinated in Indian spices is then skewered with assorted vegetables and grilled to get the charred effect is then served with Mint chutney. An extremely mouth watering appetizer/starter that can easily be mae at home in your regular OTG/Oven. The vegetables that goes best with skewered paneer are Onions, Tomatoes, Capsicum and Red/Yellow Bell Peppers. You can serve paneer tikka as a snack in your High tea parties as well. Soft melt in mouth paneer tikka recipe is certainly a keeper. So if you have a oven at home, try making this hotel style paneer tikka and surprise your friends and family with your culinary skills. If you don’t have an OTG , no worries, as you can use a microwave convection too for making this delectable recipe.
For making Paneer Tikka first marinade paneer. In a bowl mix all ingredients mentioned for marination. Add paneer cubes to the marinade and mix such that the marinade coats the paneer cubes well. Cover the bowl with a cling wrap and refrigerate for 45 mins. Once the paneer is marinated, take the bowl out from the fridge and keep aside on the kitchen counter. Now skewer the paneer and capsicum, onion, bell peppers pieces alternately. Following the same arrange more skewers. This should make 5-6 at a time. Now pre heat the oven at 220 degree. Place the paneer skewers on the rack and bake for 12-15 mins. Now change the setting to ‘upper heating only’ and grill for another 4-5 mins till the paneer gets charred on top. Let the skewers rest for a while, then carefully transfer them on a serving platter and drizzle some lemon juice on it. Garnish with some fresh chopped mint and coriander and serve hot with your favorite dip.

- 250 grams Stiff Paneer cut into 2 inch cubes
- 2 cup Red Bell Pepper, Yellow Bell Pepper,Onion & Capsicum cut into 2 inch squares
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 5-6 mint leaves
- 1 sprig coriander fine chopped
- 1/2 cup Thick curd or Yogurt
- 4 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp Chaat masala powder
- 1 tsp Garama masala powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Black Pepper Powder {optional}
