Strawberry Compote
Instructions
  1. Wash and chop strawberries and keep side.
  2. Take one lemon and grate the zest to collect around 1 tbsp and set aside.
  3. In a sauce pan add water, sugar and corn starch and stir to combine.
  4. Turn on the heat and add lemon zest into it.
  5. Boil on high flames till sugar starts melting.
  6. Now add chopped strawberries and give a nice stir.
  7. Reduce the flames and cook till the syrup is thick and the strawberry turns mushy.
  8. Turn off the heat and set aside to cool.
  9. Preserve the strawberry compote in an air tight jar or bottle and store in fridge for longer use.
