Hunan Style Sweet and Sour Chicken
Hunan style sweet and sour chicken is one such delectable recipe in which chicken pieces are cooked with pineapple and pepper in a thick sauce made with cornstarch and gives an amazing sweet and sour flavor to the chicken.

Hunan Style Sweet Sour Chicken
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a non stick skillet on medium heat.
  2. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper and add to pan.
  3. Saute chicken till its brown in color and transfer to a plate.
  4. In the same pan add red and yellow bell peppers and saute for a minute.
  5. Add in the pineapple chunks, juice, sugar, vinegar and chicken stock and bring to a boil.
  6. Simmer the gas until sauce begins to reduce and goes thick.
  7. In a bowl add cornstarch and water and mix well.
  8. Add in cornstarch mixture, stir continuously and bring liquid to a simmer.
  9. Now add the chicken pieces and cook for another 5 minutes and trun off the heat.
  10. Line the serving tray/plate with lettuce leaf and place the chicken over it.
  11. Serve as a snack or layer over a bed of rice.
