WHY ONLY CUCUMBERTOWN ?

by Shaheen Ali

Blogging is the most growing online sector that now provides some real recognition to bloggers in terms of name, fame and money as well. Food blogging happens to be one of the largest blogging division who has given both women and men a great platform to stretch out their threshold and discover themselves in a new avtar. A simple home cook is now a celebrity through blogging. How wonderful is that!

Years back i started cooking just because i had no other option left. Got married to a foodie man who not just encouraged me to cook but also took all my kitchen disasters with a smile on his face. Cooking in my family (before marriage) has through out been the most favorite affair. I have grown up seeing my mother and grandmother involving themselves into cooking various recipes that were a part of our daily meals and even our family gatherings. From simple food to the pro recipes, cooking always seemed to be the most fun task in our family kitchen.

As a home science student i had a small interest in cooking and house hold activities too but never knew that these woks and ladles shall take me so far. No one comes perfect by birth, it’s years of practice , hard work, dedication and an unstoppable desire to make things fall into correct place is what makes one perfect. Like any other person, even I faced some horrid kitchen disasters before getting into perfection. So you can say that today whatever i cook is a result of years of sweat and blood.

It was 20th May 2014 when blogging first happened to me. Honestly i didn’t knew much about blogging that time. It was just another summer afternoon when me and and my sister were discussing about our next meal, which we often do. And then she came up with an idea and suggested me to jot down all my heirloom recipes or even the new ones that i had learnt in all these years, so that i can treasure them forever. This is how food blogging happened!

While searching through net i came to know about wordpress and blogger. The only two blogging platform that gives us a podium to show case our skills. As i always accept that i am a technically challenged person, and coming from a science background and being a physiotherapist by profession, computers never fascinated me much. Hence wordpress looked too complicated to me that time. So the easiest option left was blogger. I started my blog with the simplest layout and just started collecting recipes. No write ups, no stories, no briefings nothing. Just a simple photograph (that too a horrid one) and the recipe. With every passing day i learnt a new thing that i could implement on my blog. Came across various blogger friends who time to time guided me and helped me making my blog look beautiful than before.

Slowly my writing skills improved and i also learned the correct way to write and present a story and the recipe. Days passed, months passed and years passed as well, my baby blog started taking a good shape and also started giving me a recognition which i had always dreamed of!

I had everything but still i found myself lacking behind. There were many fields that were untouched and i was finding no way out to discover them and get those implemented. This was when i wanted to take my blog to another level. Wanted to take my skills to another level and step ahead in the path of blogging that could help me earning as well.

And then CUCUMBER TOWN happened to me!

Cucumber Town is one of the leading blogging platform that provides brilliant exposure to the upcoming as well as reputed bloggers. After listening to my story, a good friend of mine suggested me to join Cucumber Town and see the difference. It took me 4 months to analyse , research and finally decide to migrate my blog to Cucumber Town. Approached the team through Ramya Menon (Blogger @ War and Cheese) and i must admit that this has been the best ever experience of my life. The team was not just helpful but they sorted and resolved my doubts and queries going out of way at times. Te team was responsive, spontaneous and very promt to my questions. From migrating to picking a theme and till the designing part, Cucumber Town felt me easy and at home. Never knew that migration can be done with so much calm and ease. Before this i had always story inside my head that migrating the blog is the most painstaking work that a blogger goes through. This was also another primary reason for me taking 2 years to decide to switch to Cucumber Town.

As they say ” Every Cook Has A Story To Tell” , Cucumber Town gave me handful of reasons to share my story and make me feel at home. It was 20th May 2016 when my blog migrated and started with CT. This was the massive face lift to my blog which i presented to it on it’s 2nd Birth Day!

The theme, the format, the liberty what CT gives to the bloggers is commendable. The layout is clean and crisp and also gives a massive space to the post and to the bigger dimensional images. The analytics shows a daily graph of the traffic received. The feed shows our blog’s global rank, monthly page views, referral traffic , search traffic through which we come to know about the various networking sites through which we got the traffic eg : Facebook, Pinterest, twitter etc. and based on those it also gives us the estimated traffic. Keeps us notifying about the views a post receives per day and may more.

Cucumber Town also opens a scope of earning through the blog. They are the only connectivity between you and various online brands/ products. Through connecting with them the doors of revenue opens for a lifetime. In short Cucumber Town gives a blogger not just a good brand name but also makes you earn by every possible means.

Today after migrating to Cucumber Town, i can proudly say that this has been by far the most amazing experience from the process of migrating and now blogging. I am enjoying every bit of it and this has been my best decision by far. I would also like to congratulate the entire team for making CT such a brilliant platform for bloggers. More power to you and here’s wishing you lots of good luck. Keep up the great work!

From the heart of a happy migrated blogger Shaheen Ali from Spoon Fork And Food!

Cheers to everyone!
