Rose Milk Shake

by Shaheen Ali

Life’s simple pleasures …. Rose milk shake has been my savior since childhood. As a fussy kid i use to run away from drinking milk, then my mom came out with this idea of making rose milkshake. That was when i almost got addicted to this aromatic healthy and refreshing drink. I still remember my mom use to take so much labor in making rose syrups and sharbats of different fruits though out the summer. The rose sharbat recipe was one amongst few elaborated recipes that was not just tiring but also use to take couple of days to get ready. So much of hard work and both me and my sister use to finish it off in no time…lol

These days we get those ready to use syrups from both national and international brands that has actually made our lives easy.

Rose Milkshake when blended with a simple vanilla ice cream is a perfect drink for summer to relieve and refresh us from the heat. I simply love the aroma of rose and the pleasant pink color. Well i have used those ready to use syrups here for making milkshake today, but have also shared the recipe of making instant rose syrup that can be easily made and can be bottled and stored for future use.
