Kahwa ~ Kashmiri Green Saffron Tea!

by Shaheen Ali

It’s summers and me being a normal human consumed lots of ice creams and chilled shakes that resulted a sore throat….lol feeling like laughing on myself. Like any other mother, my mom also suggested me to make a home made Kadha (a medicinal drink) and drink it in regular intervals to recover. But to swallow that was a tough task for me. That was a painful moment when my throat was chocked, nose blocked still craving to have something hot and yummy that can equally cure me with it’s medicinal properties. Yes!…. Kahwa. Perfect drink that can keep my sanity in check and give me a quick relief too.

While searching the recipe i came across and amazing article that defines why Kahwa should be taken daily. Sharing few lines here… for more medifacts read http://hararonline.com/10-reasons-to-drink-kashmiri-kahwa-everyday/

Kashmiri Kahwa is basically green tea spiced up with various delectable spices such as cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, and saffron. It is an integral part of Kashmiri cuisine and also of several neighboring areas.

Kahwa drinkers say that it has an aroma that cannot be compared to any other drink. Sometimes, first timers may not like the flavor, but it is said that like some of the best things in the world, Kahwa is an acquired taste for some.

However, whether you decide for a long-term relationship with Kahwa or just want to take your time to decide whether it is your kind of drink, there is no denying the fact that it comes packed with so many health benefits that you would want to drink it everyday.
