Gulkand Paan Shots

PAAN GULKAND SHOTS is a perfect summer drink to keep your body refresh and active. Paan (betel leaf) has amazing medicinal properties as well. It works an as analgesic and releases pain, eases constipation and improves digestion. It also increases hunger and promotes oral health. Betel leaf is ground to a coarse paste along with gulkand (rose petal syrup), fennel, cardamom and then mixed with milk. Paan and Gulkand Shots makes an amazingly refreshing drink and is a blessing to all those who don’t like chewing the whole paan. It takes less than 30 minutes to prepare Paan and Gulkand Shots Recipe. 

To make this drink more exciting and appealing serve it in shot glasses. It is a perfect drink to end the festive meals especially on occasions like Holi. If you are a pan lover, then to garnish the drink add chopped paan leaves.

  • 4 Paan / Betel leaf
  • 2 tbsps Rose petal jam Gulkand /
  • 1/2 tsp Saunf Fennel /
  • 1/2 tsp Elaichi Cardamom / powder
  • 200 ml milk Whole
  • handful Ice cubes

Ingredients
  • 4 Paan / Betel leaf
  • 2 tbsps Rose petal jam Gulkand /
  • 1/2 tsp Saunf Fennel /
  • 1/2 tsp Elaichi Cardamom / powder
  • 200 ml milk Whole
  • handful Ice cubes
Instructions
  1. Wash betel leaf and break the stick stem.
  2. In a mixer grinder jar, add fennel seeds, cardamom seeds and pan leaves. Grind to make a fine or a coarse paste (as per your choice)
  3. Collect the paste in a bowl and add gulkand to it. Mix well with a spoon and keep aside.
  4. Take milk in a pitcher and add the betel leaf paste into it and whisk it well till everything incorporates nicely.
  5. Refrigerate the drink for few hours and serve chilled in shot glasses.
  6. To make it lo more exotic you can also serve the drink in silver glasses.
  7. Add ice cubes to the drink while serving. (optional)
