by Shaheen Ali

It’s weekend guys, so whats cooking today at your kitchen? Well we shall be out for a movie and then dinner outside, hence kept myself a bit lazy today. No breakfast, rather opted for brunch. And when it comes to my brunch cooking, pizza is the best known option to me, that not just keeps my son happy but also allow me to treat and pamper myself once in while. So why not have something supreme, exotic yet super healthy!

Pizza is considered to be one unhealthy food, as it is made using all purpose flour, yeast etc. But who says Pizza cannot be made healthier ? Yes, there are various options that can be replace with the flour and yeast. Just the way i do, i opted for whole wheat flour and to make it even healthier i just used some baking powder as a replacement of yeast. Vegetables are always healthy , so to go with that some cheese is acceptable. Wanna know how, let us quickly move on to the recipe. Well i have shared a skillet pizza recipe earlier also but that wasn’t 100% wheat flour. Hence sharing a typical Domino’s Style Whole Wheat Veg Supreme Skillet Pizza , similar recipe but an absolute healthy version.

  • 1 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, add flour, salt, baking powder and olive oil. Stir with a fork.
  2. Add water gradually and knead to make a soft dough and brush the top with olive oil.
  3. Cover the bowl with cling sheet and keep aside for 10-12 mins.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a non stick pan and add chopped veggies and paneer chunks. Saute till they soften and paneer looks fried.
  5. Heat a skillet and spray some olive oil and brush to coat all sides.
  6. Meanwhile pinch a large orange sized dough ball and roll out to make a pizza base on a dusted kitchen counter. The base should be of the size of the skillet.
  7. Once the skillet is hot, reduce the flames and place the pizza base.
  8. Keep the flames on medium, you will see blisters appearing on the top of the base.
  9. Brush the top and sides with some olive oil, you can also lift the base from a side to and see if it's getting brown.
  10. Spread pizza sauce generously and add plenty of sauteed vegetables and paneer chunks. Spread them evenly all around the pizza.
  11. Sprinkle some red chili flakes and add plenty of shredded cheese all over the veggies.
  12. Add oregano flakes and cover the skillet with a lid and let the pizza cook for another 2-3 mins or till the cheese melts completely.
  13. You can also brush some oil on sides of the pizza if required.
  14. Transfer the pizza on a plate and cut into quadrants with a pizza cutter.
  15. Serve hot!
